Two weeks and counting....until the lambs arrive!

Meet Lucy and Ricky!

While my husband prepares another 150 foot corral with re-purposed horse panels, these kids are still with their mom on a ranch about 40 minutes north of Prescott. They are now about 8 weeks old and not yet weaned.

Part  Katahdin (hair sheep) and part Suffolk, as you can see below, mom is really large.

Check back in two weeks or so when I post their arrival!

Lambs & Hyacinths?

The promise of Spring is in the air.

And with God's faultless timing, the hyacinths pop their heads out of the earth in February, precisely in time for the birth of the Spring lambs.
So...stay tuned for the appearance of our little boy and girl "hair" lambs, Ricky and Lucy. Coming soon...right around Mother's Day when they will be fully weaned from their momma.
